Casting, of course, is the method we use in presenting a fly to a fish on a given body of water. If you don’t make a cast and your fly stays in your hand or hangs from a guide on your fly rod, the probability of you catching a fish drops drastically!...Therefore, casting is an important necessity in fly fishing! Tongue in cheek of course, but you get the idea!

I am a Federation of Fly Fishers Master Certified Casting Instructor and I am (to use an over used word) “passionate” about Fly Casting as well as Fly Fishing! I have over 50 years of fly fishing experiences behind me and over 20 years of guiding and instructing under my belt. Let me help you get started in the sport by teaching you mechanics, exercises and terminology that you will need to become a good caster. If you are a good caster I can help get you to the next level with longer casts, curves and control. Lessons can be tailored to your specific needs … and they should be!

Rex can teach anyone to cast! I’ve seen him down on his knees with kids casting yarn rods one minute and in the next, he’s analyzing and tweaking the cast of an advanced caster to make them better! He (Rex) can throw a cast through a screen door! He’s one of the best!  Lefty Kreh
